Toys Clutter

I had a good interview session yesterday. When I say good, I mean a) when interviewers ask for a solution, my face lights up and I have 1001 answers for it b) I came out from the interview room knowing that this is the place I want to end up working/retiring with.

Now to focus and ask from the universe that I'll nail a second interview and eventually this job!

After the interview, I rewarded myself with a slice of pizza from Tedboy and head on to my old beloved office to pick up my ex-colleagues and had lunch with them. Came home, took a nap, woke up and said to Em:
"Jom kita buang toys?"

And I didn't expect it was so easy for my kid #2 to part with his toys! We threw away most of them (because to be honest I wouldn't want to donate broken toys anyway), put some aside for donation, and let Em keep some. There's actually another pile of toys in our small library room/store but I'll let Rumi take care of that. Good thing he didn't throw a hissy fit when he came home to an empty toy box! :)

circus

Made the right decision to take the little fam to see the Swiss Dream Circus at Mutiara Damansara on Friday night. It was the kids' first time (including the Ayah hehe) and the last time I saw a circus was when I was five. But this one is more like a acrobatic circus, thus no animals.

We bought the cheapest tickets but that's okay because the circus' venue is pretty small and even if you're at the far back seats you can still see clearly. And boy we were mesmerized! I don't even know what they're called because I only know jugglers and the clown hehe.

Ok lemme quote from TimeOutKL:
"Marvel at awe-inspiring acrobatic feats, aerial trapeze hoop acts, foot juggling and a fearless display of rope acts."

There you go. We all enjoyed it so much! Rumi gave a standing ovation a couple of times and Emre laughed his heart out whenever the clown came out. I was so happy to see them that happy I nearly cried! Ibu is such a sap. Heheh.

this school boy

Abang Rumi, falling asleep after school.

Missing him in pre-school (4 hours in total) is far worse than missing him the entire day while I'm at work. He's doing okay so far (I think). Eventually he'll stop looking out the window to look for us and hopefully the girls in his class will stop asking Teacher Angel why Rumi is queuing up with the boys. -_-

I start work tomorrow. "work is work is work" I tell myself. New responsibilities, new drama, new headaches and heartaches. 2014 will be the deciding factor if I want to stay or spread my wings elsewhere. Or stay at home altogether. We'll see.

I think from now on I should jot down one thing that I remember about arwah Mama, arwah Danial and arwah Baba.
Right now I'm thinking about Mama's ikan bawal percik. She's not even a Kelantanese but Mama's ikan percik is the best. :/

You know what I love about having kids?

Reasons #96232753: I get to order kids meal and eat it! Mwahaha.

So at Del1cious today, my kid Rumi had a breakdown, he was cranky, he wants cake, he wants to roll around on the floor, he wants to go pharmacy, he wants the world as his oyster.. in other words, he was undecided. Moments like these, I don't throw a hissy fit. I prefer to take the I'm-just-gonna-watch-you-throw-your-tantrums approach (which most of the time doesn't work, really) but I don't want to shout at my kid or pick-him up and risk getting hit by him you know?

What I'm trying to get at is, there was this young mother with 2 kids giving me a dirty look. I know what she was thinking -- why am I not doing anything? I chose to ignore her because mothers tend to be judgmental of other mothers, we do it all the time. But yeah, whatever.

So I took Rumi to the pharmacy, came back, and had a fairly uninterrupted lunch. Until I heard the same mother yelling at her 4-yo kid (who decided to run away with her phone) for the entire restaurant to hear: WHERE ARE YOU GOING WITH MY PHONE?!! WHERE ARE YOU GOING WITH MY PHONE?!! Adoyai. Now that's a psycho mom. I may be a lousy mom but that woman really needs to chill man.

No wonder muka ketat je minah ittew. *roll eyes*
