Not sure when is our next trip to Japan (since I'm booked for Seoul with my friends end April and predicting the future is not as easy as planning a picnic) so I'll just stick to whatever they have here for now.
Was happy to find out that Muji is now at Sunway Pyramid and wow it's like stepping into Uniqlo now (well almost). I remember the one in Pavilion was a bit dull but now I feel like buying everything! Some of the items are on sale, like the color block top which was on sale at 70% discount. So I bought pens, post-it notes, some notebooks, an album and the best part is that they have a stamping station! After buying your books you can head over to station to personalize your items to your heart's content.
One of the cashiers forgot to include my pens in my bag and he took all the trouble to dash out to look for us (we were actually at the stamping station lol) but yay for great CX.
Short holiday with my little fam tomorrow. Can't wait.

A portrait of my sons, once a week, every week in 2015.
Emre: He said he is a whale. Which made me sad. You're a cat, a huggable lovable cat, baby.
Rumi: Took my phone and made a video of himself beat-boxing. I was impressed.

need.
Pre-bonus shopping is the most dangerous. With the bonus looming end-March, I've been browsing for things I want. But as usual, the wants and the needs are fine lines that can either empty your pocket or make you regret until the next bonus, probably.
I want and need this vacuum-bot thing because I suck at vacuuming the manual way (fine, I hate vacuuming with a vengeance) and this would be great for the house. We can consider it as having a pet that cleans!
I don't know. Still weighing out the options.

Figs
Love this tree at the open carpark at my office.
Don't love it so much when I leave work at 8pm.

A portrait of my sons, once a week, every week in 2015.
Emre: Mekah is still his first agenda for the next holiday. :)
Rumi: Wants to join taekwando class, we still think drama class would work for him.

Didn't take individual photos of the boys in week 2 (and I call myself a mom?!?).
But anyways, I was making Rumi's favorite spag bolognese. Told him it's slightly delayed because somehow it's too spicy and I'm trying to fix it. And you know what he said? "Tambahlah tomato".
When did he get so smart about cooking? :)

The Daily Grind
I was a bit skeptical when my colleagues suggested TDG for lunch partly because I've been there 3 times and left feeling biasa-biasa je. There were no dish that lingered in my head for days. Think I went back there only because other people wanted to try it.
But then I tried the strawberry waffle...
And it felt like being in clouds or dunking your face in a pool of cotton candy...
But to be honest, the best waffle that money can buy is from The Inside Scoop (few doors down from Cziplee). The waffle is crisp and top that with home made ice cream.. yum! And Nate will never be thin! Ever!
Guess I'm so used to Chili's nachos so when I tried their chicken nachos... Hmmm this is delicious! And cheap! Heh.
Another winning dish is the soft shell crab salad (not pictured here). Definitely will come back for more. :)

"A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2015."
Emre: Everytime he throws a tantrum I just want to hide under a table.
Rumi: Back to school for him. New teacher says he is so soft-spoken. Ha! Ha!

Book 1:2015
This year I should jot down the books I'm reading. 2015 is a great year for us to learn to be frugal because you know with all the weather uncertainty, GST come April, weak market outlook and increasing cost for almost everything ... Eh I digress. What I'm trying to say is this year I should only buy books when I need to. I still have zillion of books unread or abandoned halfway at home so yeah... sendirimauingat.com!
I'm currently reading a book I borrowed from my nephew and wow, what a page turner! It is what it is, it's about a boy who can see demons. Creepiest thing with this book is I keep getting nightmares everytime I read it! Cis.
I don't know how my sister does if but I'm proud to see my nieces and nephews are avid book readers.
Hopefully my boys will follow suit sooner or later. Reading Minecraft manual doesn't count!

tous le jours
My colleagues have been raving about their egg benedict for aaaaages but everytime we try to eat here we got distracted by Nirwana Maju. Or even by the now-defunct Canadian Daro chicken (or something).
Quite filling but I didn't enjoy the salad. Whatever dressing that they use for it is just too acidic for me.

fresca
An even older food post! If you want authentic mexican food, then fresca is the place to go to. if i can eliminate red beans from the entire menu, i'd be a happy girl. the churros is a bit blah though.

December 2014
What a tiring month. But I survived another year, phew. Mama has been gone for one year - how time flies. :(
I'm on leave today since it's back to school for Rumi. My back feels like I've been stabbed in the back. No really, no joke. Not sure what happened but whenever I cough or sneeze OHMYGODSAKITWEI.
Yeast
Old post found in my drafts. Masa ni belanja ex-boss makan at Yeast, Bangsar. Then she ordered so many things! Thank God I was with another colleague so we split the bill.
French food is delicious. If only they don't cost that much here.

Memories
My aunt was cleaning up her house post-flood and found some of my old photos. The hardest thing about post-flood is not just cleaning and rebuilding your life, but losing physical reminders of your past. I myself don't have photos from my childhood, all erased from countless floods during our days in both Kelantan and KL.
