zoo redux

Dah lama tak pergi zoo so when Nida mentioned that she's heading there ha ayuh lessgo! The last time we went there was 6 years ago, Rumi was still a tiny kid and he was uninterested at all haha. But I must say that the zoo negara looks better now. We chose not to see the pandas though - semangat patriotik la konon (THEY ARE NOT MALAYSIANS!) - then again they cost a bomb and one panda tengah berpantang for 2 months. ._.

We arrived early yesterday but lucky us not many people there (maybe ppl chose to stay home because of Bersih kot. I danna). So if you have time do check out the zoo. Don't forget to your myKad / myKid!

Gila bosan performance. Rumi was cranky half of the time. Gusi bengkak and this boy is not an outdoor type!

I feel a bit sorry for this sun bear. The bear keeps going in circles in the water. What's going on bear bear? :(

Lucky to be able to see the white tiger in close range. Also saw it poop.

Food post

Yay a food post! Some stuff I ate this month:

Podgy and the Banker+ at Verve Suites is one of my favorite place for my alio oglio craving! And they serve better coffee compared to the one in Hartamas.

I was in Singapore for a day trip last week. This meal cost SGD10 but thank god it was good, so I'm gonna let it slip. Aren't we all feeling the pinch from the depreciating Ringgit? Sigh.

Food testing at Episode, in Publika. That chip over there is so soft and the chicken schnitzel is really nice. 

Oh I didn't eat this. It's just my sister's evil plan to kill me slowly with foodporn. I NEED to find time to balik kampung, stat.

Nasi padang for breakfast in Jakarta! Sedap do'oh. I was so worried that I might get food poisoning during my maiden trip here but I survived. Husband wasn't so lucky though.

One of husband's breakfast of choice at a maret mini (kedai kecil) in Jakarta. Ala ala soto / lodeh gitu. Nice.

Dessert ini sedap gila. A combination of a few bubur and it wasn't that sweet. I wonder if I can find it here in KL.

Dreamt about my bestfriend last night. We were in NYC, hanging out a sidewalk cafe. Funny, considering I'm her least favorite person right now. :(

Guess I'm missing her so much. I want her back. 
I am physically and mentally exhausted right now.

Waiting to board the plane back to KL. Jakarta was really fun, because of the Popcon Asia 2015. I have a crazy day tomorrow, then off to Singapore on Wednesday for meetings and will come back on the day itself! 

Just typing this is tiring me out but I try to think about others who work twice as hard as I do or maybe harder. Lack of sleep, deadlines, dealing with imbeciles at work not to mention the constant  pressure to deliver. The list goes on but HELLO NATE IT'S NOT LIKE YOU HABE TO DO THIS EVERY WEEK. hehe. 

Ok I board my plane now. 

Our weekend

It's been a while since the last time the boys got sick. This time around surprisingly Abang recovered very fast! Adik on the other hand, had to take neb 3 times. 

I am sick as a cow today (not sure why I like to use this expression). It's the hubs' birthday tomorrow and I have not prepared anything! It's been a crazy month. I am exhausted beyond anything. 

At the clinic today, the good doctor reminded me "a mother's work is never over". So true.
