Killing time while I wait for 530pm. Heading out to see the rockstar paed. My boys, are down with another round of diarrhea. As much as we try to eat in, we are not immune to the threats that come from within. I am worried, because I thought the rotavirus or whatever vaccinations the kids took should at least be able to protect them. One of the reason why my eldest doesn't go to pre-school is because I am terrified of the danger that creeps within the confinement of those public school walls but alas, we can't protect them forever.

Risau, seribu risau.

Children grow out of the sickness in due time, but right now is the toughest time.

Quick post while I wait for er, Melodi. Emre is asleep, while Kid Rumi is out with his "Ayah-boi" and Atuk for a haircut. You know I get nervous everytime the boy goes for a haircut. All I can say to my husband is "don't break my heart" a la Jo Kukhatas in the No Smoking community service ad. Heh.

Friday lunch was to celebrate our girl at the office 28th birthday. Eversince I fell in love with Cafe Barbera's coffee at KLIA, I figured it's time to check out their resto in Bangsar (few doors down from Rebung). Food didn't disappoint and it's not crowded like Plan B or Ben's, which I shouldn't really comparing them with CB. For me, a good meal is often determined by how awesome is the appetizer. and yay I love their mushroom soup. I had carbonara (it was alright) and for dessert we had all kinds of dessert from tiramisu, bread pudding, brownies with ice-cream (Delicious wins) and peach cake. Or something.

Last night's impromptu dinner with Nida's family was in Bangi. Wadihana Islamic Kitchen. Eh did I get this name right. The carbonara is divine! and the chicken wings too! Will definitely go back there. Didn't realize Bangi has so many eateries to check out. *slaps head*

ok Melodi almost starting. Eat well, peace out.

Just so you know my 2011 resolution was to learn how to bake brownies. Didn't happen.

2012? I don't know. I turn 35 in March and surprisingly I don't even have a wish list for this! By the way, I no longer want that Balenciaga bag. I was going ga-ga over charm bracelets for a while but that fizzled before I could even decide on a charm.

Well, that was that. Grateful that we didn't have to greet 2012 from the hospital bed. I'm praying that this year will be a healthier year for us -- besides, praying for a big fat bonus in this season of economic calamity is like wishing for the country to snow. Rezeki comes in many forms and while I'm not the type to preach, I am thankful for everything.

I'm updating this from a government hospital. Mom is here for observation after a bout of diarrhea. Can't help but feel sad for my Mama. While my son enjoyed a hotel-like stay at a nice hospital (thanks to the Company's hospital benefits), my mother is here at the hospital that needs a bit of cleaning. A lot of cleaning actually. Sigh. Hope Mama will be discharged soon. The hospital is never a happy place no matter how much you paid for it.

I've probably mentioned this before but if you're in need of a good pediatrician at Sunway Medical Centre, ask for Dr. Chye.

Ok bye. Or to quote my 15-year old niece: vye vye.
